Organised by the European Commission, the Macro-Regional and Sea Basin Strategies days 2025 are taking place on September 24-25, in Brussels, Belgium. Partnered with DG REGIO and DG MARE, the goal of this initiative is to serve as a networking platform for participating countries, stakeholders, representatives and coordinators of EU institutions. 

Main themes of this two-day event are the Macro-Regional and Sea Basin Strategies, integrated frameworks endorsed by the European Council. The Sea Basin strategy specifically focuses on sustainable development of marine and maritime sectors, marine protection, and supporting blue growth. In that context, the event will provide participants with the opportunity to explore issues and discuss challenges related to the seas.
