On 18 December, Cátia Monteiro, BIOPOLIS coordinator and researcher, presented BioMARatona Norte at an online seminar, hosted by CIIMAR.

CIIMAR is a leading organisation in marine and environmental research, which aims to discover innovative solutions and products to guarantee the sustainable exploitation of marine resources. Every month, it holds a public access webinar, Café com Ciencia or Coffee with Science, where scientists give presentations on various topics.

In this December’s session, Cátia Monteiro introduced BioMARatona Norte, the Portugal edition of the international science event BioMARathon. She described the main goal – including the citizens in biodiversity preservation, shared the tools needed for achieving it, and presented the results of the event.
