From 9 April to 3 September, ANERIS carried out a social media campaign across Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, introducing the people behind the project, titled #InsideLooktoAneris. The aim of this campaign was to offer the wider public a comprehensive view of the team’s efforts and its future goals. In total, 13 interviews were recorded with a representative from each partnering institution, sharing more about their motivations, challenges, and lessons learned throughout the project. The campaign videos are available to watch in our YouTube channel via the following link, as well as in the Media center on our website.
This campaign delivered encouraging results for science communication and the purpose of the project, making biodiversity research and ocean conservation more accessible and relatable topics. Across platforms for the period of the campaign, ANERIS profiles have reached 6,368 impressions, 194 likes and 369 engagements. In this context, impressions represent the total number of times the content appears on someone’s feed, while engagements count as a form of interactions, such as likes, comments and shares. In terms of clicks, users have clicked 151 times in this way, further exploring the partner institutions.
Introducing the people who shape the future of ANERIS, and insights on what truly inspires them to contribute to increasing the knowledge and strengthening the protection of coastal biodiversity, is an important aspect of science communication as it strengthens long-term collaboration and paves the way for future partnerships.
For its next social media campaign, ANERIS has planned to dive deeper into the technologies used for biodiversity monitoring and assessment. These are available under the tab Technologies on our website and can be accessed and downloaded from the Media center.
