The last weeks saw a number of exciting citizen science events on the Portugese coast, part of the bioMARatona Norte. The events encouraged participants to record and share biodiversity observations, contributing to research projects focused on climate change, invasive species and biodiversity monitoring. Over 84 participants received training and took part of the five activities on the shores of northern Portugal.
The bioMARatona Norte started in May and will continue until October, with more educational and participatory activities which contribute biodiversity data to the MINKA app, thus helping biodiversity monitoring and conservation efforts. Follow bioMARatona Norte on Instagram to find out about their upcoming events.
