A crucial aspect of maintaining long-term volunteer involvement in reporting marine life data is creating user-friendly, interconnected apps. Currently, there are no dedicated applications specifically designed for marine observations.

Within the project, AMAMER will focus on developing a multiplatform app to simplify marine life reporting. It will be designed using a co-design methodology, taking user needs into account from the beginning of the process.

Currently, AMAMER is in the process of beta-testing the MINKA app, allowing to upload and see recent observations on a map. More map functionalities, as well as a page for species identification is also in the works.
